Yes I have to disagree. It wouldn't be disrespect to Shannon or anything, but it just wouldn't be the same. Shannon wrote most of the songs and their's just something about the abstract yet still topical kinda way he wrote the songs that makes them so original. And he had the most unique voice. I'm not saying that I wouldn't mind if they got back together or anything though, and they are still producing music for the most part so they aren't really going to waste. Except for Glen....I read somewhere he was painting in North Carolina...it seems kinda like he just wants to move on.

I love all the guys and I think they are doing just well as solo artist..Blind Melons fate is laid out...Its very much alive with me and Id defend them to the upmost...what we have of Blind Melon is what will always be the real BM..and thats just fine with me..the stuff never gets old
PS. Now hearing previously unreleased BM material is more what Id like to have..MORE SHANNON MORE MORE MORE |

Yeah we definitely need to get more of the unreleased stuff out. Most of the bootlegs are easy to get. EXCEPT FOR ONE: The mammoth sessions. I'm beginning to think that they just don't exist. It seems like the people who have nearly every single bootleg still lack that one. I remember reading on one of these past posts about a guy who had one called The St.Louis Tapes. And if you read in the Nico booklet it talks about how they recorded "Life Ain't so Shitty" in St.Louis, so I assume that's what that came off of. So please, if you read this and happen to have either of these please share the melon.

We lost Blind Melon when we lost Shannon.
...Luckily, the music we were given is timeless. "Oh, a flower you are to my land..."

i love the melon, and shannon was a blessed lyricist, paired with an amazing band. blind melon was another of those lost phenomenons of music. but they are gone now. without shannon, they may still be good, hell even amazing again, but no true melon fan could truly be coerced into feeling the same....soul movement we got from shannon and the boys. it has never worked with any other band, and wouldnt with melon.

Hello..My first post here..
I don`t think Blind Melon should reform with a new singer,Shannon was too big of a part in Blind Melon. The band should rest in peace with Shannon. Now i would love to see/hear the rest of the members working together but not call the band Blind Melon. |

My first post here as well. As much as I love the chemistry between Roger, Brad, Christopher, and Glen they should not reform as Blind Melon...maybe Lemon Chitlin...or whatever...point is I'm all for them reforming but not as Blind Melon I'm sorry Shannon was too crucial to that band...they all were. But if they should want to reform again, even as an instramental band I'd be very excited and intrested in hearing what they come up with

Maybe just to keep Blind Melon alive, but it'll never be the same I guess. I don't think I would like it.
